The Kosair Bowling League


The Kosair Bowling League bowls each Wednesday night of a thirty week season which starts the first week in September, and ends the second week in April. We compete at the Executive Strike and Spare Family Center, 911 Phillips Lane, at 7:30pm (Practice at 7:20pm).

Our four person teams are made up of Nobles, Ladies, Master Masons and we are always looking to add to the league.

In memory of two brothers who have recently bowled the perfect game to that Celestial Lodge above.


Stanley Kurtz, Louisville - passed away peacefully Thursday, March 29, 2018. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Stanley Sr. & Anna Kurtz, and brother, Tony Bruce Kurtz. 

Stanley worked for Cardinal Manufacturing for over 30 years. He had been a member of the Sunset Masonic Lodge since 1960, and was a member of Belmar Baptist Church.

He is survived by his wife of 66 years, Waldeen Kurtz; son: Timothy Scott Kurtz (Sally), John Christopher Kurtz (Jamie); 4 grandchildren, & 7 great-grandchildren. 
Visitation Wednesday, April 4, 2018 2-7pm at Arch L. Heady & Son, 8519 Preston Hwy. Funeral services Thursday, April 5, 2018 10am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Highland Memory Gardens.

  Norman Lee Dennison, Louisville - Norman Lee Dennison, 81, entered into rest on Tuesday, April 3, 2018.

He was preceded in death by his son, Donald Dennison. He was a member of Kilwinning Masonic Lodge #506 and was a Shriner. He is survived by his wife, Sandra; His daughters, Viveca Ortman ( Steve); Bonnie Harris (Earl); Sons, Norman Wayne Dennison (Debbie), Barry Dennison, Allen Dennison; Step Children, Edy Stickler (John) and Dana Murphy (Evan); 11 - Grandchildren and 4 - great grandchildren.

His Memorial Service will be held on Saturday at 2pm at the Louisville Baptist Temple, 8407 Candleworth Drive, with memorial visitation after 1pm on Saturday at the church until time of service. Cremation was chosen.

Advantage Funeral Home - Hardy Chapel in charge of arrangements.
