Thank you for visiting with us! Our unit was chartered by Kosair
Shrine the 3rd day of December, 1973. This unit has lots of fun. The
unit takes part in the Kentucky State Fair with a booth about
helping Kosair Kids. Members are active in many of the activities of
the Temple. We use walkie-talkie radios at events to provide
effective communications among Shriners where communications may be
difficult or crowd control a factor.
Another one of the large events we take place in is the Kosair
Shrine Circus. The circus has now increased to a 5 day event with 2
shows on Wednesday, Thursday and Friday, 3 on Saturday and back to 2
on Sunday.
We
have a 1986 Buick LaSabre Hearse which we ride in at parades. Some
of the parades we participated in this year were the Regatta Parade
in Madison, Indiana, the St. Patrick's Day Parade in Louisville and
the Irvington Parade in Irvington, Ky.
We
currently are working on Saturday nights at Highview Manor Bingo
Hall, (Kosair Shriners Bingo) to raise money for the Temple and out
unit. Come out and join us at Bingo on Saturday nights. We have a
7:30 and a Midnight shift. The Bingo Hall is located at 7209
Fegenbush Lane.
We
enjoy good fun and fellowship. We meet at the Temple the first
Monday of each month at 7:30. Please join us at one of our meetings
and make new friends. |
